Exactly what MyNextVote collects, why, who sees it, and how to get it deleted. Written to be read, not skimmed.
MyNextVote is a polling platform where creators compete for cash prizes by collecting unique votes. To run that fairly we have to record who voted on what, spot fraud, and pay winners. This policy lists everything we record, item by item. We do not sell your information, we run no analytics, and the only third-party script on the site is Google's ad loader, disclosed below. Every marketing email we send has a one-click unsubscribe that works without logging in.

Each row below is something the platform actually records. If it is not listed here, we do not collect it.

The signed-out homepage lets visitors try voting. Those votes are a demo — they do not count toward any prize — but we record them to stop the demo from being abused:

We never ask your device for its location and we never receive GPS coordinates. For demo votes and sponsored-poll answers, we send your IP address to a lookup service (ip-api.com) which returns the country, state/region and city that address is registered to. That is typically accurate to the city and sometimes only to the region. For sponsored-poll answers the result is cached in your session so the lookup happens at most once per visit; for demo votes it happens per vote. The lookup carries only your IP address and, because that service does not offer an encrypted endpoint on its free tier, travels unencrypted. The IP address itself is not stored alongside sponsored-poll records; it is stored with demo votes.
Consent. At signup there is a box, ticked by default, for tips and updates. Untick it and you get account emails only.
Tracking. Marketing emails contain a tiny invisible image that tells us when the email was opened, and links that pass through our server so we know which were clicked. On an open, a click or an unsubscribe we record the time and your browser's identifying string. We also keep a record of each marketing email sent to you (address, subject, when opened, when clicked). We use this to learn which emails are worth sending. Account emails (password resets) are not tracked.
Unsubscribe. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom: click it, press the confirm button, done — no login. Mail apps that support one-click unsubscribe (Gmail, Apple Mail) also show their own button, which needs no confirmation. Either way it takes effect immediately and stays in effect unless you ask us to re-subscribe you.
The suppression list. When you unsubscribe, your address goes on a list of addresses we must never email again. That list is deliberately kept even if you later delete your account — otherwise we would have no record of your request and could email you by mistake. It holds the address, the date, how you unsubscribed, and a reference to the email you unsubscribed from.

Email win@mynextvote.com from the address on your account, or use the support form. We answer within 30 days. There is no charge and we will not treat you differently for asking.
US state privacy laws (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Florida and others) give residents the rights above plus the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information and we do not do targeted advertising. The one thing that could count as "sharing" under California law is Google's ad script (section 2); if you send a Global Privacy Control signal or ask us, we treat it as an opt-out request and will tell you how to block the script. If we ever display ads, we will add an opt-out control to the site before doing so.
Outside the United States. MyNextVote is operated from Florida and intended for US residents. If you use it from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States. Residents of the UK or EU have the additional rights of the GDPR, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority; contact us first and we will resolve it directly.
Passwords are hashed with a modern one-way algorithm. All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Database access is restricted to the application and to the owner. Prize payout details are stored only for enrolled creators and are viewed only when paying a winner. No system is perfectly secure; if we discover a breach that affects you, we will notify you at the address on your account and, where required, the relevant authorities.
You must be 18 or older to create an account or compete for a prize, because winning involves a payment and a tax record. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has an account, tell us and we will delete it.
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update the effective date at the top and, for material changes, email account holders before the change takes effect. Continuing to use MyNextVote after that date means you accept the updated policy.
